So, I’ve been following this story like a junkie who’s looking for her next  fix right from the begining. Most of us have heard what happened so i’m not going to repeat what’s circulating the web, but i would like to give my two cents.

I used to love both these artists, I had a hard time dealing with them being together since I had a huge crush on Chris Brown ( notice the use of certain words in the past tense) and was trying my best to ignore the lovey dovey photos as they surfaced. But apparently, not all was well in paradise. As I’ve watched this story unfold I’ve lost respect for both of them, the first to go was that of Chris Brown after hearing of the horrible incident, which I truly did not want to beleive.  What really, gets me is that I get the sense that Chris Brown doesn’t feel any remorse about it, like he seems to be just going about his business like the beating was part of a sunday night ritual that every couple takes part in. I’m not there with him 24/7 so I can’t say, but he could at least pretend to be remotely regretful when the paparazzi is around. It just looks like he could careless about what he did, and hes just worried about saving his ass.

Then there’s Rihanna, who just this week lost my respect with her getting back together with him. According to psycologist’s this kind of behavior is common which is shocking to me. I’m sorry that a woman as beautiful ,young and successful as herself feels the need to stay with someone who has inflicted so much physical pain, especially since the violence according to tabloid mags like People, US weekly, and gossip sites like tmz and perezhilton have noted that its been getting progressively worse. I hope she snaps out of it and realizes she deserves better, and moves on to better things in life especially since she has her whole life to live!

Domestic violence is utterly unacceptable.

There’s always a way out.
